Bitcoin Pullback Long Setup Below $84K Resistance

Bitcoin is trading at $83,150.9 on the 1H chart (about ₩110.29M, kimchi premium only 0.1%). Price has climbed from the 48-hour low of $81,146.4 toward the upper bands and is now pressing just under the 48-hour high of $83,420, with the 7-day high of $84,117.6 as the next ceiling. The trend is constructive, but short-term oscillators are stretched, so how you enter matters more than direction today.

Where price actually sits — PRICE 83,151, RSI 59.5

Indicator Analysis

Moving Averages

Price sits above the MA20 ($82,732.4), MA60 ($82,272.3) and MA120 ($81,929.9), and the three averages are in clean bullish order. The roughly $800 gap between MA20 and MA120 shows the short-term trend has real slope. Ichimoku agrees: price is above the cloud (top $82,622.4), and the Tenkan ($82,894.7) is above the Kijun ($82,350).

→ The trend favors buyers, and MA20 near $82,730 is the first pullback magnet.

RSI

RSI(14) reads 59.5. That is bullish territory but well short of overbought. The rally has room to extend without RSI flashing exhaustion, unlike the faster oscillators below.

→ RSI supports the uptrend and gives no reason to fade it on its own.

MACD

The MACD line holds above the zero line. The histogram sits at a marginal -6.2, essentially flat. The computed direction shows upward momentum strengthening, which suggests the histogram is working back toward a positive flip rather than rolling over.

→ Momentum is neutral-to-improving inside a positive regime, so watch for a histogram cross above zero as confirmation.

Williams %R

Williams %R is at -5.1, pinned at the very top of its range. That tells you price is closing near its recent highs. It also means short-term upside is crowded right at resistance.

→ Overbought on this gauge argues against chasing at current prices.

ATR

ATR(14) is $298.1, or 0.36% of price, which is a modest hourly range. Bollinger width at 1.75% is expanding, so volatility is picking up from a low base. A one-ATR stop is about $300, and realistic hourly swings stay in the $300–600 range.

→ Size stops in ATR multiples; anything tighter than about $300 is noise.

CCI

CCI(20) at 86.8 is positive and approaching the +100 line without crossing it. Price is running above its statistical mean but has not entered a climactic extension. ADX at 49.0 confirms a strong trend behind the move.

→ A strong trend with CCI not yet extreme leaves room for one more push.

Stochastic

Stochastic %K is at 94.9 against %D at 60.4. That wide gap reflects a sharp, fast push into overbought. Readings like this often precede a sideways or shallow pullback before the trend resumes.

→ Short-term overbought; expect a breather and look for %K to reset before adding longs.

Keltner Channel

The Keltner upper band is at $83,263.9, roughly $113 above price. The midline is $82,668.7 and the lower band is $82,073.4. Price is riding near the upper band, and the Bollinger upper at $83,454.3 lines up closely with the 48-hour high, creating a stacked resistance zone.

→ The $83,260–83,450 area is the near-term lid, and the Keltner midline near $82,670 is the preferred buy zone.

On-Chain & Positioning

Active addresses, stablecoin dry powder, hashrate: today’s data feed does not include fresh readings for these, so I will not guess at numbers. Refer to the chart below for the broader trend. As a flow proxy, 24-hour OBV is rising, with a delta of +39,135 BTC, which points to accumulation. Price is also 0.71% above the 24-hour VWAP ($82,561.1), so recent buyers are in profit. MFI at 51.5 is neutral, which suggests the volume behind this move is steady rather than euphoric.

Bitcoin Pullback Long Setup Below $84K Resistance
  • Funding rate: 0.0074%. This is low and close to neutral, so longs are not paying up to stay in.
  • Long/short ratio: 1.48, with 59.7% of accounts long. Longs lead, but the skew is milder than earlier crowded readings.
  • Open interest (24h): +0.22%. This is nearly flat, which means the bounce was not built on new leverage. It looks spot-led, consistent with recent headlines on ETF inflows.
  • Fear & Greed: 63 (Greed), up from 55. Sentiment is warming but not yet at extremes.

On the macro side, the S&P 500 rose 0.28% while the Nasdaq was flat at -0.02%. The dollar index is at 101.78 and gold slipped 0.63%. The US 10-year yield remains elevated at 5.12% despite easing on the day, and that high-rate backdrop is the main reason not to get aggressive on upside targets.

Today’s Position Strategy

LONG Setup (Primary)

Entry zone Target 1 Target 2 Stop
$82,550 – $82,750 $83,420 $84,100 $81,900

The entry zone clusters the 24-hour VWAP, the Keltner midline, the cloud top and MA20. A pullback there resets the overbought Stochastic and Williams %R while staying inside a strong ADX trend. The stop sits below MA120 and the Keltner lower band, about 2.5 ATR away. A break of $81,000 would invalidate the bullish structure entirely. Take partial profit at the 48-hour high, and only hold for $84,100 or higher if price breaks and holds above $84K.

SHORT Setup (Secondary, tactical only)

Entry zone Target 1 Target 2 Stop
$83,450 – $83,650 $82,700 $82,350 $84,250

This setup only applies if price spikes into the Bollinger upper band and 48-hour high zone and then visibly stalls, with Stochastic rolling over from 94.9. The targets are the Keltner midline and the Kijun. The stop sits above the 7-day high of $84,117.6 with an ATR buffer. Because the trend, OBV and Ichimoku all lean bullish, this is a counter-trend scalp: keep size small and do not hold it if price closes above $84K.

Everything above is market analysis, not financial advice. Manage your own risk and leverage. If you trade futures on BingX or Bitunix, fee-payback signup links are listed at the end of this post.

Conclusion: The trend favors buying dips into $82,550–82,750 with a stop below $81,900; do not chase longs into the $83,260–83,450 resistance stack, and expect only short-term pullbacks while price stays below $84K.
