BTC is trading at $75,806.4 on the 1H chart. Price has slipped from the 48-hour high of $80,927.5 toward the 7-day low of $74,810.8. It is now compressing in a tight Bollinger squeeze just under the $76K line. Headlines point to US regulatory uncertainty and a strong jobs print as the triggers for the break below $76,000.
Indicator Analysis
Moving Averages
Price sits fractionally below the MA20 at $75,844.0. It is well beneath the MA60 at $77,879.9 and the MA120 at $77,692.1. Alignment is mixed and converging rather than cleanly stacked, but every major average is overhead. That puts the burden of proof on buyers. The $77.7K to $77.9K zone, where both longer averages cluster, is a heavy ceiling.
→ Below all key MAs, so rallies into $76K to $77.9K are selling zones until reclaimed.
RSI (14)
RSI reads 55.2, slightly above the midline. The recent bounce has repaired momentum, but RSI is far from overbought and far from the oversold readings that usually mark durable lows. Neither side has an edge here on its own.
→ Neutral RSI leaves room for a push toward $76.2K before sellers step back in.
MACD
The MACD line remains below the zero line. The histogram prints +114.0, which reflects a small corrective lift inside a regime still flagged as bearish momentum persisting. A positive histogram below zero usually describes a relief bounce, not a trend change.
→ Bearish regime intact; the bounce needs a zero-line cross to mean anything more.
Williams %R
Williams %R sits at -35.4, in the upper half of its range but short of the -20 overbought threshold. Short-term buyers have pushed price toward the top of the recent range without stretching it.
→ Not overbought yet, so expect the upper band area to be tested before any rejection.
ATR (14)
ATR is $466.8, or 0.62% of price. Hourly volatility is contained, consistent with the Bollinger width of only 0.96%. Compressed ranges like this tend to resolve with an expansion move. A one-ATR buffer of roughly $470 is a sensible minimum for stop placement.
→ Low ATR plus a squeeze means a directional break is building; size stops at 1 to 2 ATR.
CCI (20)
CCI is 6.5, essentially flat around zero. Price is trading right at its statistical mean with no stretch in either direction, matching the sideways compression.
→ No signal from CCI; wait for a move beyond +/-100 to confirm the breakout side.
Stochastic
%K at 64.6 has dipped below %D at 67.0. That is an early bearish cross in the upper-middle zone. It suggests the short-term bounce is losing pace before reaching overbought territory.
→ Fading stochastic momentum favors a rollover from the $76K area.
Keltner Channel
The Keltner midline is $76,041.2, with the upper band at $77,047.3 and the lower band at $75,035.0. Price is below the midline, so sellers hold the short-term structure. A close back above $76,041 would neutralize that.
→ Midline $76.04K is the pivot; the lower band at $75,035 is the first downside magnet.
For context, ADX at 33.9 confirms a strong trend is in force. Ichimoku shows price inside the cloud ($75,532 to $77,869) with the Tenkan below the Kijun, a short-term weak setup. On the other side, OBV has risen by 688 BTC over 24 hours. Price is also holding 0.05% above the 24h VWAP at $75,770.8. Spot accumulation is quietly cushioning the downside even as MFI at 34.8 shows weak money flow.

On-Chain & Positioning
Stablecoin dry powder: Stablecoin supply expanded by roughly $10 billion in a single day. That is sidelined capital that can be deployed into dips. It is the main reason the $73K to $74K zone deserves respect as a profit-taking area for shorts.

Funding rate: 0.01%, a neutral baseline. Funding at this level shows the leveraged long build-up has not been flushed. Longs are not paying enough to be forced out, so they are still sitting in the market.
Long/short ratio: 3.1, with 75.6% of accounts long. This is a heavily one-sided crowd, and crowded longs below every major moving average are liquidation fuel.
Open interest: +2.15% over 24 hours while price moved sideways. New leverage is being added into a range rather than a trend. That raises the odds of a sharp move to clear stops on one side, most likely below.
Fear & Greed: 28 (Fear), down from 50 the prior reading. Sentiment has cooled fast. Positioning, however, still leans long, a mismatch that often precedes one more flush.
Macro is not helping. The dollar index rose 0.73% to 102.29, and the US 10-year yield sits at 4.86%. The Korean premium is a modest 1.08%, so there is no sign of retail euphoria in Korea either.
Today’s Position Strategy
SHORT Setup (Primary)
| Item | Level |
|---|---|
| Entry zone | $76,000 to $76,250 (76K resistance, Bollinger upper $76,207) |
| Target 1 | $75,035 (Keltner lower band) |
| Target 2 | $74,810 (7-day swing low) |
| Target 3 | $74,000 to $73,400 (major support, take profit) |
| Invalidation | Hourly close above $77,100 (above Keltner upper) |
Price is below all major moving averages, the stochastic has crossed down, and MACD remains under zero. A 3.1 long/short ratio with rising open interest leaves a large pool of long liquidations below $74,810. The stop sits about two ATRs above entry and beyond the Keltner upper band, so a normal squeeze wick should not take it out. Book most of the position in the $73.4K to $74K zone, where fresh stablecoin liquidity is likely to absorb selling.
LONG Setup (Secondary, counter-trend)
| Item | Level |
|---|---|
| Entry zone | $73,400 to $74,000 (after a liquidation sweep) |
| Target 1 | $75,035 (Keltner lower band) |
| Target 2 | $75,770 to $75,850 (VWAP / MA20) |
| Target 3 | $76,200 (Bollinger upper) |
| Invalidation | Hourly close below $72,900 (opens path to 72K) |
This is a reaction trade only, taken after the crowded longs are flushed into support, not a pre-emptive bid. OBV accumulation and the $10 billion stablecoin inflow argue for buyers defending the $73.4K to $74K band. Keep size smaller than the short and exit fully if 72K comes into play.

Conclusion: Sell rallies into $76K to $76.25K with a stop above $77.1K, and take profits into $73.4K to $74K, where a flushed long base may offer a quick bounce.
